Present an indictment before the judge hearing a case in order to initiate a public, oral, adversarial trial in which evidence is examined in the presence of the court and all other guarantees are observed. 5. Request before the judge hearing a case that necessary legal measures be taken for the assistance of victims, as well as restoration of the legal order and complete redress for those affected by the crime. 7. Oversee theprotection of victims, juries, witnesses, and all other parties involved in criminal trials. A law shall determine how victims may intervene in the criminal procedure and mechanisms of restorative justice. 8. Manage and coordinate the functions of the judicial police that are customarily carried out by the National Police and other organs as specified by law. 9. Comply with all other functions stipulated by law. The Attorney General and his/her deputies have competence in the entire national territory. In the event an indictment is brought, the Attorney General or his/her deputies shall provide, through the judge trying the case, all elements of proof and information he/she is aware of, including those favorable to the defendant.
